Feel the Beet

Beetroot is one of our favourite ingredients. Brilliantly vibrant, hugely tasty and amazingly versatile, it’s a root vegetable that’s packed with all the essential nutrients – so it’s a great one to add a spring to your meal.

Why’s it so good for us?

Beetroot is a great source of fibre, folate, manganese, potassium, iron and vitamin C – all the big names. Traditionally used to support liver and bile flow, the fibre content of beetroot also helps keep our digestive systems healthy.

Lots of people like to drink beetroot juice before exercising, because it’s really rich in nitrates. This helps improve blood flow and oxygenation, and lower blood pressure, enabling you to exercise harder, for longer.

That’s why we’ve made beetroot the star of our Beetroot + Curly Kale Soup. Packed with goodness, it’s just the lunch you need to propel you through the afternoon.

Waste not, want not!

Beetroot leaves are also a fantastic source of nutrients. They’re massively tasty and can be thrown into homemade miso broths or tossed into stir fries – whatever you fancy.
